Unicaller (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the “Application”).

We comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other applicable Canadian privacy laws. By using the Application, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information that identifies, relates to, describes, references, is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer or device.

2.1 Contacts (Zero-Knowledge Architecture)

Unicaller requests access to your device's contact list strictly to facilitate convenient local dialling and caller identification.

IMPORTANT: We employ a “Zero-Knowledge” architecture. We do NOT upload, store, or transmit your device's contact list to our servers. All contact matching happens exclusively on your device. Our systems never see, have access to, or possess a copy of your contacts’ names or phone numbers.

2.2 Microphone

We require access to your device's microphone to transmit audio during calls. This data is ephemeral and used solely for the purpose of the call. We do NOT record your calls unless explicitly required by law enforcement, in which case you will be notified.

2.3 Device and Usage Information

We may collect information about your mobile device and internet connection, including the device's unique identifier, IP address, operating system, and mobile network information. This helps us prevent fraud and improve app performance.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Application
• Process your transactions and manage your account
• Improve, personalize, and expand the Application
• Understand and analyze how you use the Application
• Detect and prevent fraud
• Comply with legal obligations

4. Disclosure of Your Information

We may share information we have collected about you in certain situations.

4.1 Service Providers

We may share your information with third-party vendors and service providers who perform services on our behalf.

• Stripe: For payment processing. We do not store your full credit card information.
• Telecommunication Partners: For secure call routing and signaling.

4.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information where we are legally required to do so in order to comply with applicable law, governmental requests, a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process.

5. Data Security & Privacy Architecture

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. Data is stored on secure servers and we use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (SSL/TLS) and at rest.

• Encryption at Rest: Every phone number associated with your account is encrypted before it hits our disks.
• Blind Indexing: We use blind indexing technology to process and search for records without storing phone numbers in a searchable, plaintext format.
• Session Security: Logging in on a new device cryptographically terminates all previous sessions immediately.

6. Your Rights

Under PIPEDA and other applicable laws, you have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. You may also withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.

7. Children’s Privacy

The Application is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
